Antonio Di Dio
[edit]Hello I'm Antonio Di Dio What's up? What's wrong with this page?
Hey "ADD:"
Two tags were added to the page:
- Wikify: Another user added this tag, which requests that the text be reformatted to appear as other Wikipedia articles do. Follow this link to the Wikipedia:Guide to layout to find out more about article formatting.
- Speedy Delete for Suspected Vandalism: I added this tag because the text appeared suspect. Often pages are created by individuals who wish to vandalize the Wikipedia. I thought the text seemed suspect because the subject matter (serial murder and psychopathology) frequently appears in vandalized pages. Also, there are a large number of spelling errors, which also is characteristic of a vandalized page. I appologize if I was mistaken.
My advice would be to add to the article and cite the source you have used so that other users will recognize that the article is legitimate, as well as correcting the spelling errors. Some mention of why this figure is notable would also be helpful. Sorry for the confusion, and I will withdraw the delete request. Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia! I wikified it, but added the verify tag, since I couldn't find a reliable source to verify the things by. There are a lot of sites about Roberto Succo, but they are mostly about the movie. And movies can't really be used to verify facts about the real person. If the book's not embellishing things, that might be used for verification. So could any biographical reference that isn't based on the movie. - Bobet 00:54, 5 December 2005 (UTC)
add disambiguation
[edit]add disambiguation page, for play of same title
- I agree. The play is a contemporary classic in its own right and deserves a page of its own. The theatre company I work for is currently doing a production of it so I'll write the page if nobody else wants to, but in the meantime - first performed in Berlin in 1990 (dir. Peter Stein), first English translation by Martin Crimp, other English translations by Nigel Maister <http://www.rochester.edu/college/eng/faculty/maister.html> and Royston Coppenger <http://bravenewworldrep.org/_wsn/page5.html>, and possibly even other people I've never heard of. The Pascale Froment book
[edit]My copy of the Froment book does indeed have a publishing date of 2001. However, according to a note on the reverse of the title page, it was originally published in 1991 under the title 'Je te tue. Histoire vraie de Roberto Succo assassin sans raison' (I kill you. True story of Roberto Succo, killer without reason). My guess is that the 2001 publication was a tie-in with the Cedric Kahn movie. Lexo 23:15, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
- According to a note by Froment in the endpapers of the revised English translation of Koltès' play * Find this book at Amazon.co.uk, she and Koltès met while she was working on the book and she showed him some of her notes and research materials, including a tape supposedly of Succo's voice. He subsequently used some of this material in the play. So the play and her book are contemporaneous. Koltès sent Froment a copy of the finished play but he died before she finished the book. Splitting the main page
[edit]There is a notice on the main page about splitting it into separate articles. The notice has been there for a year and a half, and there is still no discussion here.
I shall delete the notice. Varlaam (talk) 23:37, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
